Prospectif is the surprising result of a collaboration between Dutch producer Folkert
Brands and Belgian singer-songwriter Elisabeth Daniel. After a successful experiment in
2017, they decided to combine their very diverse musical backgrounds in a new musical
project.
Their music, which can be described as ambient triphop, is an original mix, with Elisabeth
Daniel’s intense vocals. It is fresh, often dreamy, and at times « danceable ». It is an
atmospheric soundtrack for life because of its metaphorical lyrics.
They write songs jamming to tracks Folkert creates and gives a title to, and then Elisabeth
writes melody and lyrics. Think of a mix of Massive Attack, Moderat and Maribou Sate,
with vocals reminiscent of London Grammar and Joy Williams.
